Meredith’s Bridal & Formalwear Celebrates 35 Years in Brevard

This week Tight Line Productions filmed a commercial for Meredith’s Bridal to help them promote 35 years in the area, and their 50th year in business.

 

Shortly after moving to the Space Coast from Brockton, Massachusetts in 1977, Dave and Meredith Ryder opened up Meredith’s Bridal & Formalwear. Originally located on 5th Avenue in Indialantic, Meredith Ryder wanted to give brides a storefront that was warm and inviting-a special place for that very special purchase: their wedding gown. So the Ryder’s purchased land along New Haven and built their easily recognizable boutique in 1986. Soon after the adjacent property was purchased and became Meredith’s Formalwear-a place where the groom and his groomsmen would experience the same special treatment as the bridal party.

 

Meredith Ryder can hardly contain her excitement about this wonderful landmark for her business. “We feel we have been truly fortunate to be in such a happy business. The biggest compliment we could ever receive is when a bride we’ve worked with-even those from when we were located in Indialantic-bring their daughters in for their special day, be it prom or their own wedding. It scares me to say this, but Jersey Shore was the most watched, non-sports, cable show amond adults this year. The remaining top five in order were: The Walking Dead, Rizzoli & Isles, The Closer, and Pawn Stars.
