In today’s tech-savvy world, social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Snapchat have emerged as powerful marketing platforms for advertisers to reach their target audience and keep them engaged. As a result, we’ve bolstered our Grassroots Social Media Initiative which consists of social media maintenance as well as Facebook advertising (and much more!). The creative force at the helm of our Social Media and Digital Strategy department is Stefani Angy, one of the newest members of the Tight Line Team.

When Stefani learned about the Social Fresh conference being held in Orlando, she knew it was the perfect opportunity to learn the newest tricks of the trade and stay up-to-date on what was happening in the social media world. She made the trip to the Social Fresh conference held at the Wyndham Grand hotel in Orlando, FL, accompanied by Tight Line’s CEO, Mark Lewis.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

“I have to say, attending the Social Fresh conference was a great decision. The things I learned today are going to help me be the best Digital Media Strategist I can be, and I am so excited to implement this new knowledge when I construct our upcoming Facebook Ad campaigns.” Stefani said

Mark and Stefani learned about branding, podcasting, measuring the success of social media advertising, and how to effectively advertise on Facebook. Each and every workshop contained great, innovative information that they plan to use moving forward, but Mark and Stefani had to agree that the most game-changing workshop was the one focused on Facebook Ad Targeting.

The presenter of this particular workshop was Justin Kistner, VP of an up-and-coming digital company. In the course of this three-hour-long workshop, Kistner guided the attendees through the do’s and don’ts of Facebook advertising, focusing especially on how to target the correct Facebook audience. Even though he went through an enormous amount of content, Kistner explained the rationale behind the Facebook targeting process in a way that was easy to grasp.

After the workshops, Mark and Stefani attended a networking happy hour where they had the opportunity to meet other marketing professionals and listen to a brief yet entertaining message from the key-note speaker, Peter Shankman. Both Stefani and Mark took away a vast amount of new knowledge from the Social Fresh conference, knowledge that will solidify Tight Line Productions as the social media and digital marketing experts in Melbourne, FL.

“For me, it was very cool to see how things are rapidly changing in the world of Digital Advertising and Social Media, and it was also interesting to hear from the speakers how some things remain the same. Things like having fresh and engaging content, which we do with our SEO and Web clients, will always be important. Some of these things we learned at Social Fresh are things we already practice, for example relying on the power of sound and how it resonates with consumers. The human brain retains things that are heard much more than things that are read. AKA echoic retention.” – Mark Lewis, CEO

Deploying powerful images that also help tell the story, AKA the power of video, something Tight Line Productions has been doing for decades. The speakers at the Social Fresh convention simply showed us different ways to deliver these messages in the Digital space to help engage customers all the way through the buying cycle, something that we also have implemented for years at Tight Line in the electronic advertising world.

“The really cool stuff with Digital Facebook ads is the ability to HyperTarget a market both geographically and demographically. Knowing how and when to deploy what type of message is the key” Lewis says, “Also knowing when and how to deploy what medium is important. For instance, we can start our Facebook advertising campaign with an awareness video message, then after a person has consumed 50% of the video 2 times deliver a Graphic Banner ad incentivizing the person to convert to the website. Making sure the landing page is correct so the consumer gets what they are looking for is also a big part of the equation.” Mark continued.
